Dr. Michael Magerstädt

Michael Magerstädt holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Berlin Technical University. Later, he completed a postgraduate study in business administration, focus marketing.

After graduating, Michael spent 4 years doing research in the United States; first at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA and later at the National Cancer Institute, NIH, Bethesda, MD. Then, he spent 13 years at Hoechst AG (Frankfurt, Germany), one of the formerly three large German chemical and pharmaceutical companies. After leaving Hoechst, he spent 8 years as CTO and CEO of privately owned manufacturing companies in medical device and in-vitro diagnostics disposables manufacturing in Germany and Switzerland before joining ROSEN Group at Stans, Switzerland. At ROSEN; he successfully built an elastomer product business outside the ROSEN core business of pipeline inspection.  Since 2018, he is holding senior management positions at KROHNE Group, a global instrumentation manufacturer.

He was and is active in building and developing technology startup companies, examples were SWISSCI AG and Humanautocell Ltd. 

Michael Magerstaedt is chairman-elect of AMPP (formerly NACE) Standards Commitee SC 21 (Corrosion in Mining), and long-standing NACE/AMPP member. In addition, his memberships include numerous professional societies, including ACS, SME (both USA); GDCh, VDI, (both Germany). He is an active Rotarian at Rotary-Club Zug-Kolin, Switzerland as well as Paul-Harris-Fellow.

He maintains and leads a global network of consulting and project management partners as well as subject experts.
